What the plant is like
Expect a vigorous, medium-to-tall plant that stretches hard in flower and builds long, tapering colas; the original cut shows pale-to-medium green leaves with a bluish tint and abundant orange pistils.7 Leafly notes it suits sea-of-green setups, and clones root quickly.4,8
Teachers like it for the same reasons. Ed Rosenthal chose Blue Dream as the one example hybrid in his Cannabis Grower's Handbook, and an Oaksterdam University instructor uses it in class because it finishes indoors in 8 to 9 weeks, against 11 to 13 for a Haze.9
What to watch for
Sources disagree on mold. Leafly lists Blue Dream as susceptible to powdery mildew and spider mites, while growers quoted by High Times and Westword value its resistance to powdery mildew.4,8,10
Seeds and the law in the US
Under the amended federal definition of hemp, viable seeds from cannabis plants above 0.3% total THC, including THCA, are not hemp.11 Congress delayed that exclusion, with most of the new definition, from Nov 12 to Dec 11, 2026; only the exclusion of products with cannabinoids the plant cannot produce naturally starts on Nov 12.12 Home cultivation rules are set by each state. This site does not sell seeds.
